Road to CUE
Professional Background
I wasn't planning on being CUE's Resource Navigator, but I'm so happy that the wind brought me to CUE's Program Manager, Assunta Davidson.
After completion of the Bernard Kozel Startup Program the summer of 2025, I was craving for more entrepreneurial opportunities. My career advisor at RIT, Natasha House, reached out to be about a volunteering opportunity for Roc The Pitch--CUE's pitch competition. It was an easy yes, since it was an avenue to get my tickets compensated, a networking opportunity through tabling, and getting more exposure to pitch competitions.
Towards the end I wanted to take pictures of my experience with my business partner, as well as Assunta Davidson and Ebony Miller--the Director of CUE--to share to LinkedIn. After taking pictures I started chatting with Assunta to get involved with Roc The Pitch and CUE more since I was still craving all things entrepreneurship. I offered if they ever needed more volunteer work or more hands on deck at CUE that I would love to help out, which is exactly when the opening of the Resource Navigator position was mentioned.
My role at CUE has been a complete delight thus far.
I bring a unique combination of skills to my clients including: creative design skills, technical marketing expertise, and business insight, with proficiency in tools such as Canva, Clip Studio Paint, Adobe Creative Suite, and website development platforms. It's amazing to walk through my clients' ideas, and help take out their roadblocks so that their dreams can feel achievable!
My startup, GroupSoup™, is all about supporting small businesses through enhancing in-person foot-traffic and event marketing. My long-term vision is to build sustainable businesses that foster community growth, while continuing to learn and grow as a leader in the entrepreneurial space--and CUE is exactly where I need to be to foster it all.

My Entrepreneurial Story
My entrepreneurial story dates back to when I was 6 years old when my aunt owned our town's local movie theater. It was the classic family business experience with all hands on deck, my grandfather ran the box office, my aunt handled management, my mother handled events, and my sister and I has the important task of staying out of the candy room upstairs.
The focus on events at the theater began in 2006 when my mother's entertainment company was blossoming. Every year I would help set up and take down holiday decorations, and watch my mother plan out the rest of the details. Eventually, the theater was sold, and my mother's entertainment company continues to serve clients to this day.
My professional experience starts in 2020 when I was 16. During this time I successfully led branding, website development, and large-scale email marketing projects for Confetti Pop Entertainment. I gained industry specific insights by attending industry conventions for 9 years before and after the rebrand, helping to shape targeted marketing strategies for the family business.
While I was navigating a company rebrand for my family's entertainment company, my uncle had other plans. I watched him grow GiveGab, a crowdfunding platform, for 13 years. He ended up successfully exiting the company, and his success is a constant reminder of the the rewards of owning your own company.
Currently, I serve as CEO and creative designer of GroupSoup™, a venture dedicated to building community-focused solutions in the Rochester metropolitan area. GroupSoup aims to help small businesses gain consistent in-person foot-traffic by leveraging event marketing to capture their local market. In this role, I have thus far, helped design our platform, collected over 150 market interviews, and pitched entrepreneurial concepts at the Bernard Kozel Startup Program Demo Night. Currently my business partner and I are taking on interns for the spring 2026 semester with potential to expand the amount of interns during the summer.
